Who we are
4Logix is a young company dedicated to the development of applications that support business processes.
4Logix was founded by Siebrand de Meijer, building on his core competences and his years of experience at international technical service providers.
In his recent role as Export Compliance Manager, he experienced the struggle to grasp, understand and memorize, and to correctly and consistently apply the numerous international sanctions and export controls on strategic goods and technology. And realizing that others have to go through the same pain.
Adding to this his inner drive for structure, logic and simplicity soon gave birth to the idea of a tool that would capture it all.

What we do
We have the ambition to create a Toolbox that will enable any person to assess an export transaction with respect to the ruling sanction programs and export control regimes, without the need of being an export control specialist.
How we do it
The field of sanctions and export controls on strategic goods is complex, divers and continuously changing.
Our first challenge was to identify the various national and international regulations, locate their sources, and understand their revision and publication mechanisms.
Secondly, we concentrated on the design of a database driven web based application, with a user interface that provides access to all this information in a consistent and uniform manner.
And thirdly, we invested in processes that would enable us to keep all this information up to date.
Now that all this is in place, we are concentrating on the next challenge, which is all about the transformation of written rules into machine readable decision trees, and the creation of a suitable user interface.
